I get it. I’m a mom that takes care of katywampus at the mashed potato ranch. I’m also a nurse who’s cared for an eight-year old with a suicidal heart, fed the girl dying of cancer, and soothed the anxious minds of kids that couldn’t sleep. Three decades of working as a nurse showed me one thing more than anything; children need three things to feel happy.

Is this approach too simple? Hope so. Life can be complicated and painful, all the more reason to hold on to the wonder in life.
Socrates said, “Wonder is the highest form of intelligence.”
Einstein said, “Mystery is the most wonderful part of life.”
